A game ball is still the best souvenir in sports! I don’t understand these ‘ballhawks’ who are out to collect thousands of balls, and many times depriving another fan of their one and only opportunity. I would rather have a humble selection of balls that I can tell the story behind each one, instead of thousands that I can’t remember anything about.

Agreed! The ” ballhawks” don’t have anything better to do, i guess, like work? I have no idea. I was at the Tigers game a few weeks ago, I caught my third ball. I gave it to the kid sitting next to me. It was his first game. Now he has a good story for his first game and I have a good story for my 3rd caught ball.
