Thomas Rawls…

I’m not much of a football fan and I  have to admit I didn’t know who Thomas Rawls was a few minutes ago.  However, I ran across this story while checking my fantasy hockey score and I have to admit, it brought a tear to my eyes.

“Seattle Seahawks running back Thomas Rawls may be out for the year with a broken ankle, but that doesn’t mean he’s not still making things happen. On Christmas morning, a young fan named Sophie Ayers received a Rawls jersey under her tree and had the following reaction”

Here’s a link to the story.

Sophie’s reaction is one of the things I love about Christmas.

From now on, when I do happen to watch football, I’ll be pulling for Thomas Rawls.

Good on you Thomas!

  1. Interesting.  I believe this is the same Thomas Rawls who grew up in Flint.  He played at U of M and then transferred to CMU.  I think he does have some criminal activity in his remote past, but nice story nonetheless.
