Congratulations to Alex Avila on his 100th double. I still don’t think he should be playing every day. He struck out three more time today giving him a total of 95 for the season. Ninety-eight games into the season and Alex Avila has Kd 95 times. I hate to say this because I was his biggest supporter, he needs to relegated to the backup role. I’m not saying Holaday is the answer, but how much worse can he do?

I agree about Avila.. His time has come and gone. I don’t think he is the most problematic part of this team, but he sure is having a hard time justifying his playing time.. Sadly, his major competitor McCann in the minors is potential trade bait for a marginal relief pitcher.. We’ll see.. I’m wondering why the media and most fans are so critical of JV, but Sanchez seems to get a free pass.. Other than the mini stretch of quality games a few weeks ago he has been mediocre at best… Big series this weekend with our potential first round opponent.. We don’t usually play well at the Big A..
