The offense put up 10 runs and JV looked pretty good.
The only thing I can’t figure out is why JV seemed to be mad at Johnny Giavotella for going to 3rd on a fly ball? Wtf? Was he supposed to stay put to preserve his shutout? I don’t get it.
This is a nice win. I’ll take it.

This was a good olde-fashioned BEATDOWN!! I loved the fire JV showed last night. Was glad to see him start the 8th inning and not take himself out because it would have been convenient (take note Max?). Was glad to see him get pissed off for giving up the double in the 8th, and for being taken out of the game. I think he was pissed because Carrera didn’t make a good throw to 3rd. He wanted the shutout and I like to see that in a big game. Of course, none of this means anything if they stink it up today.
Sark your last line says it all…..however what we saw last night was the transition from “fireballer” to pitcher JV MUST make. Buster O reported his first two fastballs in the eighth were 88 & 89 mph with location. Better late than never. I felt as good about that game as I have anything in a long time MAYBE this is it?
