Tigers Trade Freeway Ricky…

for Yoenis Cespedes.

I don’t like it. Cespedes had a .301 OBP.  And what is the rotation now?

Another horrible trade from DD, the Genius.

  1. Don’t like it, and will like it less if this paves the way for them to bring Scherzer back!! I don’t like Cespedes, especially considering he has an arm suited for RF but refuses to play RF. And considering he doesn’t stay healthy and probably has an attitude like most of the Cuban players.. RP was one of my favorite players to watch and it was nice to see him grow into a well-rounded pitcher, destined for greatness… I suspect we got more than Cespedes so we’ll see. I hear rumors of a trade coming with Cinci for one of their pitchers. I don’t sense there is a clear direction for this team and how the roster is put together. They’re just plugging holes as they come up. That’s why they will keep spinning their wheels every year.

  2. What in the sam hell is going on? Has DD lost his mind? Did we really need another high strike out, low OBP guy? And, I heard Price doesn’t want to stay here. So we have JV, who is probably on the downside, Sanchez, who is perpetually hurt, and…………………? Oh, yea, still nobody to get on-base in front of Miggy!!!

    I HATE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  3. I’m liking this team less and less with each move. Just what we needed, another foreigner who can’t speak english.. Besides his enormous Cuban ego.. I’ve been of the mont all Illitch wants is the big names so he can do the high level marketing and keep drawing the crowds. He won’t be getting my money, at least not to watch this crap. I’ll miss RP, he was one of the few on this team you can identify with.. Speaks good english, stays quiet (except when beating the shit out of Youkalis!!), just goes about his business. He will blossom into an ace in the next couple of years.

  4. I’m not a big fan any of the Tigers recent trades. I really don’t think they are a better team than last year at this point, and they’ve depleted too many of their middle infield prospects.
