Zimmerman was good but Max was on fire. That being said, despite striking out 20 times the Tigers still had chances but couldn’t get the key hit.
Now, can someone explain why Brad Ausmus didn’t have Nick “The Quick” in the lineup? I understand there is no designated hitter but how do you sit Casteallanos in the middle of this run he’s on. This might be crazy but Miggy should have been the odd man out today.
How do you sit Nick “The Quick” ?
I guess we now know the answer to the lingering question as to whether Max had enough in the tank in Game 2 of the 2013 ALCS, or Game 6 for that matter. Of course, back then he didn’t have his guaranteed contract. He pitched a good game last night, against a team very capable of striking out with the best of them..
I’m beginning to lose patience with BA. He is over managing. HOW DOES HE TAKE NICK “THE QUICK” OUT OF THE LINEUP? He is 5th in MLB in batting average and tied for 7th in RBIs. I’m not saying he’s the next Miggy. I’m not even saying it will last the entire season. All I know is he is on fire right now and you can’t take him out of the lineup. He didn’t even have him pinch hit. WTF?
I just talked to BA’s proctologist. The doctor told me he located BA’s head!
I think we got out managed again with 1 out and 2 on in the 7th how do you not PH VMart? And how you leave Nick C in the on deck circle in a 1 run game in the 9th? Max pitched a great game but IMHO he sure could have been beaten….
Absolutely, they struck out 20 times but still could have won or at least gotten Max out of the game. BA has to go. He sucks.
