This might be the best win, by far, of the season!
After falling Behind 4-1, Rajai Davis, hit a walk off grand slam in the bottom of the 9th.
This is big for a few reasons. First, the Tigers haven’t played well at home. Second, they got to a closer who has been lights out this year. Third, it was against the A’s, probably the best team in the AL this year. Fourth, Rajai has kind of sucked recently. Fifth, BIG WIN!
On another note, Eugenio Suarez better go on a Miggy like tear for the rest of the season because he plays short like Tommy Brookens coached third.

With the 84 Tigers in the house maybe some of that teams’ attitude rubbed off on this years version… They have sucked at home, and for 8 innings did nothing to change that… I have seen more bullpen meltdowns this year than ever before.. Not sure what it means other than there are no dominant teams this year… Let’s give some props to the 2 more underperforming hitters for getting on base on the 9th ahead of the HR.. Avila and Jackson had good at bats.. Hope this win leads to some better play at home, but seeing is believing..
Good point Sark. AJax had a great ab in the ninth to get on. And I’ve been hard on Avila so I should have given him proper credit. But Rajai really came through and he has been HORRIBLE for a month or more. Also, I’m not sure what to make of Suarez. WTF with his throwing?
