Disaster; Pirates 11 Tigers 6

The Tigers are a sinking ship. I’ve been complaining most of the year and I’ve used up almost every negative adjective I can think of to describe this team.

I don’t think they are going to recover this season.

JV left after one inning with pain in his shoulder. I think the best thing for JV and the Tigers is for him to go on the DL. He looked pretty good his last few starts but has struggled most of this year. He’s logged a lot of innings over the last few years. Let me sit down, rest, heal and hopefully right himself.

The good part about this game is that the Tigers tried to battle back. Even after falling behind bid, early, they didn’t seem to pack it in.

The pitching was horrible and the defense was worse.

KC has a 3-2 lead over the A’s with two out in the ninth.

Kiss first place, and most likely this season, goodbye.

I’ll show up tomorrow. Let’s hope the Tiger do as well.

  1. I wish JV’s attitude would rub off on Scherzer. JV was pissed he got pulled, even with the soreness, because he knew the team needed a deep start tonight. We can never question his willingness to take the ball every 5th day and go as long as needed. They did battle back, but lacked any big hit to finish off the big innings, but we’ve seen that act before.. That weekend series in Toronto is one we’ll look back on as the tipping point. We’ll see what this team is made of. I don’t like their chances.

  2. Sark I am with you. I have sat all day and tried to work it out but right on we will see what they are made of..something special….or a collapse of epic proportions.I don’t think there is a middle.
